CHINESE EMBROIDERED Vintage 30s Wedding Jacket • X-Small
RELEASE THE DRAGON
This jacket is truly stunning! The difficult embroidery technique is known as "couching" and this item is traditionally worn as a wedding jacket. The Chinese motifs symbolize husband and wife with the dragon chasing the flaming pearl and phoenix. There are also flowers with stems, leaves and wavy lines that represent water. The lining of the jacket is pink silk, the embroidery is metallic thread, and the base is a black satin. There are 5 handmade frog closures starting at the top neckline that fasten down to about belly button level. Slit openings on both the sides and down the back for a little room to play.
